Dinner at Natalie's and the West End Boys

Last Saturday I went for dinner at Natalie's with the crew. Max and Nat made two homemade lasagnas - one veggie one meat. Dinner was amazing but who cares lets talk dessert.

I wasn't fast enough to get a picture of Natalie's cake while it was pristine but it was delicious.

Nat is a real diva at dessert. She even experiments with multiple recipes. I preferred the Dr. Oetker to the Duncan Hines

It looks like Babe has got Justin's number.

Everyone watching the game from a comfortable perch. Babe, you better watch yourself Justin is my gay.

Ms. Erin told me she loved being featured on random blogs so here she is.

lovely ladies

Nat is one of my favourite blog stars because she is always game for fun photo shoots. I had so many wacky pics of her it was hard to narrow it down to just one for this post. But here it is, Natalie's winning look. Congratulations you are still in the running for the next top property model.

From Nat's, we went to Baby Huey's for the last West End Boys Party. It was packed in there and so fun. Above is sexy Scott's ode to the White Party

The ladies were killer

I loved the costume changes.

You KNOW it has been a good night when you end up at The Abbey with Lo watchin' hockey. Especially when, the next day, you find photos you don't even remember taking!

How to Look Good Naked

Last Saturday I was supposed to work for Crystal at Fashion Crimes but Friday night I got a call from the producers at HTLGN asking if I could come in and shoot the opening segment. Thankfully the Fashion Crimes team could spare me so I go to go.

I arrived at 7 am and got to take a look at the set. The doors of the dressing rooms were bolted so once we were inside we couldn't get out until we finished. It reminded me of Olivia Newton John in Grease. They had to sew her into those pants in the final scene and she couldn't take them off all day! I also met the other girls who were taking part in the shoot.

I was totally intimidated because I was the only one who hadn't done a shoot with them already, but it seemed pretty straightforward.

all us ladies in hair and makeup. Can you see me in my sexy robe?

I had to be discreet about taking pictures, it's not very professional, and I am pretty sure I am breaking some union rule. Although everyone on set said they didn't mind

Fall into it

Battle of the Blades

Last Sunday night I got to go to Battle of the Blades at Maple Leaf Gardens. The minute I saw the print ads for the show I knew I needed to go see it live. And since Insight was the production company I knew I would be able to get in there if I begged. But then Justin got hired on as Dick Buttons assistant and he asked me if i wanted to come to the show with his parents. Well I couldn't have asked for a better date to the show than Justin's dad Brian. Bri, is a hockey fanatic, and has a shrine of Maple Leafs memorabilia in his basement. He's also a devoted rocker so he has seen some amazing moments at the Garden, and he took me on a tour before the show started.

An old Molson ad.

Bri rink side

Dawn, Brian Haley and me.

We ran into Justin before the show.

It was so cool to be at the Garden, it was my first time inside Its hallowed halls. And Bri told me lots of awesome stories about going to games and concerts there . He saw, among others, The Beatles, Queen, and even Led Zeppelin, from the fourth row no less, at the Gardens. And probably a thousand hockey games at least. You used to go to Marlie games in the afternoon and Leaf games at night.

Did you know that Maple Leaf Gardens was dry until the mid 90's? I was shocked by that. Bri showed me where the owner and Gm used to sit, in a little cubby at one end of the rink. And there they would drink their own bottles of CC during the game. There was also a restaurant where wealthy hockey patrons could go after the game and have dinner with the players and coaches.

The arena announcer would climb those stairs up to the top of the Gardens. Can you imagine!?

Just before the show started Ron MacLean and Kurt Browning getting the crowd excited.

There's Ron!

One of my favourite contestants. Tie Domi.

The whole cast.

Justin and me heading to Tim Horton's for dinner after the show, obviously.

Justin loves Shae -Lynn

Cuff the Duke

We heard the band wasn't going on until late so we had dinner and drinks at Emily's

Hooverville - 60 Massey

Look the cast of Rent the Trinity Bellwood's edition.

Emily - because you're worth it

We look beautiful

Max with more tiny objects.

We walked into the Horseshoe, bought a round of drinks and pushed our way forward. And just as we settled into a nice pocket off stage right the band walked on stage. I mean literally perfection. And they were awesome

And then out of nowhere Greg Keelor was onstage! I swear I am meant to be in Blue Rodeo

Amen, awesome show!

Damn why do we always end up at Swatow.
