Maybe i should write for the Times

I have been writing a lot lately about my boyfriend Brian Wilson. (The Giants closer, not the singer, or amazing song by The Barenaked Ladies.) And apparently the Times has been reading the blog cause they're all over it. The article even goes so far as to suggest the Wilson's interviews boarder on the performance art. Hello, that's why we're dating. We might not share religious sentiments but to prove that we couldn't be anymore perfect together here is the article's closing quote from Brian himself.

“I’d like to be a crossword clue one day,” he said. “I want to be in The New York Times’s Sunday edition. Right now, the clue ‘Giants great’ is always Mel Ott. I want my clue to be down, not across. The down ones are usually harder. And when I’m the clue, I’ll fill it in — just that one — and frame it.

“How sweet would that be?”

And by the way

"All the best guys play for the Giants. FACT!"

My favourite transgender is in the New York Times

Theresa Sparks, of the San Francisco Human Rights Commission, and former CEO of Good Vibrations, is running for City Supervisor. And according to the paper of authority She's gonna win. I first came to admire Ms. Sparks when my mother was up for the Commissioner position at the Office of Citizen Complaints, a police oversight board. That's right she was gonna be the COCC. Theresa was part of the hiring committee and mum told me all about her. I had originally assumed she was black, I mean Theresa Sparks kinda sounds black. But my affection for her has not been diminished by learning that instead she is a WASP-Y type with an affinity for right-leaning social values - anti-loitering anyone? Way to go T-Sparks!

A Sign of the Times

Opps. At least he rolls with it. "Was that my... you all know who I am." The man can think on his feet. But that doesn't mean he is gonna have many Congressional legs to stand on come November. And that is precisely what I feared would happen. If you build the man up to be the next Messiah he has got nowhere to go but down.

In honor of my birthday!

October 1st was a wonderful day this year. Not only did I celebrate my birthday but David Johnston was sworn in as Canada's Governor General. Sources report, "Prep has returned to Rideau Hall with the swearing in yesterday of Canada's new Governor General, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Lloyd Johnston (Harvard, Cambridge, Queen's) and his wife, Her Excellency Sharon Johnston (UofT, Western, McGill)."

And he has impeccable credentials

"At Harvard he was the captain of the varsity hockey team and she is an avid horse-riding enthusiast. Together the Johnstons own Chatterbox Farms, an equestrian center outside of Waterloo... he had a sterling career as an academic and author (prior to taking office he was the President of the University of Waterloo and the Principal and Vice Chancellor of McGill before that. He has also served on the boards of directors of numerous corporations including Seagram's and Canada Trust.

O yea and they don't like him in Quebec, labelling him an "adversary" to the Independence movement. Boy they are really testing the mileage on that old joke.

So it seems the position of Governor General is secure again. We wont have to worry about any more questionalble outfits at State funtions. Happy Birthday indeed!
