Lizie's Dream House

Heaven in Rosedale.

She's a beautiful Georgian with great provenance, having only been owned by three families since it was built in the 1930's.

The grand enterance

Love the colour of this formal dinning room

Cozy, library/office.

The kitchen is a little meh! But I can probably live with it.

This is the Blue Room.  It's devine

The current owner said you can see owls from this solarium.  Um sold!

You can't see the pool, but it is just there to the right in this shot.

Oh yea did I mention it backs onto a ravine trail.  Here is the view from Milkman's Lane.

I mean, is that unreal or what. It's only eight million. No biggie.

Let's Give Up Winter for Lent!

Been spending most of my days across from this beauty.

Literally everyday looks like this!

Hasn't stopped Mas' and me from getting out into the wonderland.

Looks like we aren't the only ones who've been making tracks!

Love Toronto

Stunning

It hasn't been all freezing and no fun though.  Went to the AGO's February First Thursday party.

 And yea... what they said

This month my class held our symposium at the Berkeley Church.  It was a fantastic success.

And I went for a walk past my favourite monument!

Mason likes to show me his favourite places too.

This is Why I Have Been Ignoring You!

One of the major projects I have been working on over the last nine months is finally here.  The conference is this coming Monday, March 3rd.  If you are interested in attending they're still tickets left which you can reserve here.  Or if you would like to support the arts, culture and heritage with a donation you can do so here.

Obsessed: Benefit Cosmetics

When I stopped working in an office environment a few years ag, my makeup  use significantly declined.  However, a bike accident this summer, which resulted in a small scar above my right eye,  and a new school year made me take stock of my collection and realize that I needed a few new products.  I've been a MAC devotee for years but while travelling I was reintroduced to Benefit Cosmetics.  I have been super happy with everything I got so I thought I would share it with y'all.

Primer has become a fad of late in the makeup world, but I have to say it makes a huge difference in the skin's quality and makeup's longevity.  I've been using the Benefit primer "that girl"  which creates an even and brighter looking complexion. I've also been using the eye primer "Stay, Don't Stray." Because of the scar on my eye having a primer that keeps my concealer working all day is a must.  Plus both of these products are light and airy and make my skin soft and supple.

The "Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow!" Foundations are a step up from tinted moisturizer but are still lighter than traditional foundations.  The liquid creates a smooth and light finish that doesn't look greasy and blends well.  Plus they all come with SPF 30, which should be required for foundations these days.

For my fair complexion the "Dandelion" blush is perfection.

I also bought "Hoola" to use as all over blush.  It's a little dark, and I am not sure if it really stacks up against Mac's Golden Bronzer, but it is pretty great, and smells divine!

Perhaps the best product at Benefit is the "they're Real." mascara.  You'll need a good eye makeup remover to take it off, but it is amazing, and makes your eyelashes look crazy long and full.

And of course...

Chelsea's New Digs

The first pictures of Chelsea Clinton and her husband's new 10.8 million dollar pad are here.  Check it out!

The building exterior.

Beautiful natural light and soft wood elements.

High end finishes?  What else would you expect from a 10 million dollar home.

The master bedroom.  It might not be the Lincoln, but it's not too shabby.

The super sleek kitchen.  Overall I think the house has a sterile feel.  But it is a gorgeous house and I am sure Ms. Clinton and her man will be more than happy here.

Property Porn

SJP and Matthew Broderick bought this Greenwich Village townhouse last year as a flip project.  They paid $18.9 for it and it is now listed, after extensive renovations, for $25 million.  If they get it they will net a cool 6 mil. profit.  Check it out.

The couple never moved into the house, according to the Daily Mail report.

Indicating they always saw the property as a flipper.

Wouldn't you love to not cook in this beautiful kitchen.

Stunning.

Rare Manhattan outdoor space.

If I could I so would.  Anyone want to lend me a a few million dollars?

Lonely Summer

I've had plenty of time for myself in the last few weeks.  Time to wander NYC and snap touristy photos.

Like this one

And this one, just before the sky opened up and poured.  I thought it was fall?

 Fisher man on the pier.

 And lovers too.

Nothing says lonely white gal quite like a cat.

But the work environment is bliss.

 I mean seriously.  It's amazing.

The Yacht Club makes me happy.

And so does the vegetarian Indian place downtown, Navaratna
