Aiko the fembot

I have developed a true obsession with robots. I posted this a while back, and now I have found Aiko. She is the first Canadian android. And this guy Le Trung spent $20,000 of his own money to build her. I love that he makes it clear that Aiko is not a sex toy, and she doesn't like it when you touch her breasts.

Wall-e for real

I loved Wall-E just as much as the next guy, but does anyone else see a problem here? First Big Dog and now these guys. If you don't remember Big Dog, you can go back to some of my earliest posts, it is terrifying. These little guys aren't as big, but their ability to think for themselves is definitely scary.

Boston Dynamics Big Dog

This is the newest technology out of the United States. Of course these dog robots are being funded by the US military, and are going to make huge profits for Boston Dynamics - the private sector defense engineering firm who designed them. Big Dog is going to do reconnaissance ahead of combat troops. To me the scariest part, is not how Big Dog rights itsself on ice, or when attacked, but how they are updating the technology so that Big Dog will be able to jump and run like an actual dog. That is the very last demonstration in this clip. There are way more videos of Big Dog on youtube. Some are more recent and the progression is frightening.
